About Me

Educational History:

I attended public school in Tecumseh, Oklahoma from 1st through 12th grade graduating in 2007 with my HS diploma. I graduated from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma in 2013

Degrees and Certifications:

I hold a BA in Music Performance with a minor in Humanities.

I am Oklahoma certified to teach 1st-12th Vocal/General Music, as well as Middle Science to 6th-8^th. I have also aquired the credentials necessary to coach Track and Cross Country.

Current Position:

After graduating from ECU in 2013, I was hired to teach for the 2013-2014 school year and have enjoyed teaching ever since.

I am currently teaching Elementary music to 1st-4th grade, and Middle School music to 5th-8th grade. I teach Tech Education to 6th-8th grade, and I teach a 7th grade science class.

Although I am not teaching private lessons through Cottonwood Public Schools, I am teaching lessons through Ada Music Center of Ada, Oklahoma.

Previous Position:

I have worked part time for Grace Christian Fellowship of Ada, Oklahoma since August of 2007. My job responsibilities range from Youth Pastor, College/Career Pastor, and Young Adult Pastor.

Family Information:

I married my beautiful wife, Jennifer Cody on June 30^th, 2012. My wife and I have two children: My daughter Shiloh Rae Cody who was born April 6^th, 2015, and Silas Jay Cody who was born February 24^th, 2017.

I enjoy staying active through Judo and exercise, making/performing music, doing anything out in nature, and reading. I love spending time with my family, friends, and church family.
